What sets the price of a Mini Poodle?

We price each puppy individually, and each one's figure is on its own page. Our prices are for limited registration, which leaves out showing and breeding rights.

Being a pet puppy is no mark against a Poodle. A breeder may keep back only the very best of a litter for the show ring and call the rest pets, for differences so small that only an expert judge would catch them, such as eyes a little too light or a tail carried a little too high. Those pets share the build, personality and health of their littermates, and a family buying one still gets a well-bred Poodle with the breeder's advice behind it.

Registration papers alone promise nothing about health, temperament or quality, so look at the parents behind a puppy and not only at the paperwork. The health checks a Mini's parents should have are in our guide to Mini Poodle size, lifespan and health.

Our Mini Poodles are also the papas of our Mini Cavapoos and our F1B Mini Goldendoodles. If you're choosing between a Mini Poodle and one of those crosses, their prices are in our Cavapoo price guide and in what a Mini Goldendoodle costs.

What comes home with a Mini Poodle puppy?

Every puppy goes home with vaccinations against Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus, Kennel Cough and Parainfluenza, plus Leptospirosis and Rabies depending on age, deworming, a puppy pack with care notes, a bag of Diamond Naturals food, a blanket with mama's scent, a written guarantee, and a microchip enrolled in your name with lifetime recovery, already paid for.

This price is for limited registration which does not include showing or breeding rights. We are willing to sell full registration to approved breeders for an additional fee. Prices do not reflect sales tax, shipping fees, or the 3% merchant fee when using a credit/debit card or Paypal. All sales are subject to a 7% sales tax. Contact us with any questions!

Every puppy's page names its mama and papa, with each parent's own page a click away, and you choose your puppy from the litter at 4 to 5 weeks. If the drive to Syracuse is too far, ask us about getting your puppy to you. Delivery can be arranged, and each option is explained on Getting your puppy home.

What does a Mini Poodle cost to keep?

Grooming is the cost that never goes away. A Mini's curly coat keeps growing, and owners who don't clip at home book a groomer every four to six weeks. Get a quote from a local groomer before pickup day, and our Mini Poodle grooming guide covers the trims and the brushing at home.

Food is the steady line. Feed a good quality food, bought or home-made with your vet's advice, that suits whether your dog is a puppy, an adult or a senior. Poodles do well on simple dog food and aren't picky eaters unless a soft-hearted owner makes them so. Keep the treats in check too, because some Poodles put on weight easily.

Then there's the mind to feed. A Mini Poodle needs a job or an activity, and good exercise every day. Set aside something for a puppy class, toys you can toss for a natural retriever, and a good leash for walks if you don't have a fenced yard.

What vet costs come in the first year?

Expect a run of vet visits in the first months, since your puppy comes home at 9 weeks with shots still to come. The core puppy shots start at 6 weeks and run to 16, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart and at least three in all, and a booster follows within a year of the last one.

Book a full vet exam soon after your puppy comes home, so preventive care like heartworm and tick protection can begin, and put that in the budget beside the shots. Give our health guarantee a read before go-home day. The grooming and class bills tend to begin at about the same point, since about 16 weeks, and the 16-week shot, is the usual time to start both.

How do reserving and paying work?

Start with our puppy application, and once we've approved it, a deposit holds your puppy. A non-refundable deposit of one third of the puppy price holds a puppy that is already listed. A $200 non-refundable deposit holds a place on the waiting list for a litter that has not been born yet. Deposits are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to another puppy up to three times, or held for a year.

Cash in person, card by phone, PayPal invoice, or Venmo. Card and PayPal payments carry a 3% merchant fee. All sales are subject to 7% Indiana sales tax. Each step from application to go-home day is on how it works. Every one of our Mini Poodle puppies shows its own price and go-home date on the breed page, and if color is part of your choice, our Mini Poodle colors guide covers the colors we raise.
