MEET THE TEAPUP TEAM!!

Here at Teapup we are blessed to have many people, including children and high school students, who come on a regular basis and are trained in such duties as grooming, socializing dogs and puppies, cleaning, record-keeping, etc. These dedicated guys and girls are what help keep our superior standards of puppy-raising at an ever-increasing high.

Below you will see photos and short blurbs about each person and their regular responsibilities. Knowing how difficult it can sometimes be to choose a puppy, we also understand the difficulties of finding the right breeder. This way, you can get to know us and how we care for our dogs and puppies on a daily basis. We also update our home page regularly with photos from dog shows, the nursing home visits, and more news!!

Dan and Deb Beer  -  Owners

Dan and Deb Beer began raising dogs in 1989, and have attained much knowledge through the years regarding all aspects of raising dogs and puppies. They love seeing our beautiful puppies go to great forever homes, and it is a wonderful blessing to have a part in making a child's dream of puppy ownership come true!! The joy on new puppy owner's faces when taking home their new addition is simply priceless!! Dan is a minister in their church, and also farms about 700 acres of corn and beans in the area. Both he and Deb have had the great opportunity, especially during the past year or two, to spend more time with their family which consists of four children and 12 grandchildren!! 

Amber Myers  -  Manager

Amber has been studying dogs since she was 7 years old and began working at Teapup in November of 2002. She began work as a "puppy player", then her duties, along with her hours, increased over the months and years. It provided an awesome opportunity to put her book knowledge to work, and the learning and studying has never stopped! Amber is now the manager, and handles phone calls, emails, visitors, dog and puppy care, website, etc. She even had the awesome opportunity of taking and handling four of our Shih Tzus at the Fort Wayne dog show, and led our male Ricter to his first point towards his championship!      

Hope Miller

Hope began working in 2006 as our dog and puppy photographer. Though she had no professional training in photography, through a little bit of guidance and a whole lot of hands-on experience, she has developed wonderful skills and is very patient with the dogs and puppies during their photo shoots! Hope also helps with some cleaning and grooming now and then, and occasional phone call and customer duty. We are blessed to have her on the team!

Lupe Fuentes

Lupe has been working since 2006, and she is the main person who comes every day to thoroughly clean each pen, and she also does laundry and washes the floor. She is fantastic!! We are so blessed to have such a dedicated person, and she works with a smile!! She does a wonderful job!

Jaron Burkholder

Jaron began working in August of 2009, and he is our resident handy-man! His duties vary from feeding to installing shelves to taking recycle items to town, among many other things. Jaron has a great mind, good common sense, and awesome focus. He has been a big help to us!

Josh Malik

Josh started working for us in July 2010, and his eagerness to learn has served him well. Though he does much more, his specific duties include making pen cards for moms and puppies, evening chores, and relieving Amber of phone and customer duty during his working hours. He does a fantastic job and we are pleased to have him as a part of our team!

Skyler Moore

Skyler became part of the Teapup Team in October 2010 and he has proved to be a cheerful and willing employee. He helps out with various projects, including some paperwork and computer work, plenty of cleaning, and general puppy care. Skyler always knows how to make people laugh and lighten up while they work. We are thrilled to have him join our team!

Sophia Nyce

Sophia has been part of the Teapup Team since summer of 2008 and she has been a joy and a great help to us! While she started out as a puppy socializer, her duties now also include grooming and videography. She has really grown and matured and she is always happy and eager to do what is asked of her. She is a great help!

Elasah Wilson

Elasah began working for us in April of 2011 and she is learning the ropes quickly. She is eager to learn and always has a good attitude. Her duties include some grooming, videography, cleaning, and daily chores. We are very pleased to have her as part of the Teapup Team!

Morgan Shields

Morgan joined the Teapup Team in September of 2011. She has been doing a great job and we look forward to seeing more of her abilities and talents in the coming months. She in in charge of trimming toenails once a week, along with bathing puppies regularly and cleaning pens. We are glad to have Morgan on the Team!

Dr. Tom Smith

Dr. Tom Smith from Milford Animal Clinic has been our attending veterinarian for the past several years. He comes out to our kennel every two weeks with one of his vet techs to do routine exams on our puppies and adults. We are so very blessed and privileged to have such a great relationship with Dr. Smith and all of his staff!!

Below are all the other kids and adolescents that come in regularly to socialize our puppies, and they also occasionally help with cleaning, washing windows, etc. We are very blessed to have them come, and both the kids and the puppies thoroughly enjoy the time spent here!!
